What it means
A warm, decent-looking man — the kind who makes a room feel easier rather than the spectacular kind. 훈녀 is the female equivalent.
Explicitly not about perfect features: the compliment is about the impression he leaves.
Examples with translations

The new teacher is lovely-looking in that warm way.
잘생긴 것보다 훈남이 좋아.
I'd take approachable over handsome any day.
Where it comes from
훈훈하다, 'warming, heartening' — the word used for a gently heated room — plus 남, 'man'. The metaphor is temperature, not looks.
